July 14, 2010 - Morning Status

Day 2 after surgery. Just spoke with DH. He's very groggy. Says he didn't get much sleep because staff was in/out all night doing things to him. Catheter has been removed, and as always he's worried to death about his blood sugar and insulin. He's back on a liquid diet and instead of eating what they bring him he tends to not eat anything because of fear it will raise the glucose level. Problem with that is, they give him insulin before he eats so if he doesn't eat everything they bring him he bottoms out. Hopefully someone will be checking on him often because I have to go to work instead of to the hospital. Hopefully by the time I post status tonight he will be better.
